Mitch Main has committed to play baseball for George Fox University in Newberg, OR after his 2010 graduation from Bainbridge High School. Mitch, a former SportsWorx Northwest Athlete of the Month, will be a strong competitor for the starting shortstop position for the Bruins right away.
Mitch's college decision clearly reflects the SportsWorx philosophy of researching schools from both the academic, athletic and environmental perspectives. Mitch's research concluded Coach Hunter has a commitment to academics and an accommodating attitude for players to take labs and other demanding courses that may require some practice time flexibility, along with a commitment to maintaining the tradition of excellence established for the nationally recognized baseball program. These were some of the major reasons Mitch, a potential Pre-Med major, selected George Fox over other university opportunities.
