Every high school athlete striving for a scholarship has that dream university they would do anything to play for.

Whether it's the football program at Florida, the baseball program at Florida State or the soccer program at USF. For every athlete, there is that one dream opportunity.

Reality is, hundreds of students have that dream and there are only so many scholarships to go around. Still, every year students pass up the chance to play at smaller universities so they can go on campus, walk-on and say they are a part of their dream program.

There is nothing wrong with that decision. However, many times the experience is not what it seems.

By the same token, accepting a scholarship to play running back at Carson-Newman does not always work out either.

Both decisions come with risk. Both decisions have potential rewards.

Sports advisor Tim Livingston from www.sportsworx.com tells you what to look for in this edition of Scholarship Central.
